I was taking a stroll through the outer edges of Lorien one evening when I saw a shadow moving in the distance. I crouched and moved closer towards the stranger. In a few moments I came up behind the stranger and pressed my bow with a notched arrow into their back. "And who might you be?"

I had been taking a stroll through the forests of Lothlorien on a mild evening. The skies, which were slowly turning a darker blue color, were as clear as crystal. Only a few rare occasions had allowed me to come to Lorien, and I felt myself enjoying every minute of this very stay. However, I was suddenly started by the sound of a man's voice. Whipping around in an instant, I foudn myself face to face with another elf, who had just asked for my name. Startled, I answered quickly.
"E...Excuse me, my lord. My name is Stella. I come as an Elf of Rivendell to these fine forests."

I stood high above in the tree tops, staring out across the land that I called home. A breeze gently moved a stray piece of my hair that had escaped the braid I had woven it into. I was restless, and at last decided to go for a walk. For all I trusted in the power of Lorien to keep me safe, I still brought my bow. I gracefully made my way down the stairs, wandering out into the surrounding forest. I noticed soon that a man and a woman stood in the clearing ahead. I smiled and approached them.
"It is nice to see I am not the only one who wanders the forest this evening," I said.

My eyes registered that another lady was coming from within the depths of the forest. She moved up towards me and the other elf standing next to me. I looked up at her as she neared us, and began to speak of how she was comforted that she was not alone within the woods. However, that phrase triggered thoughts within my head, although those stray thoughts went unvoiced.
And here I thought I was alone within Lothlorien...

"Well forgive me for startling one of my fellow kind from Rivendell. I have been on edge these past few days." For this is the first time I have ever met this certain elf from across the Misty Mountains. I was taking in all of her features when up walked a fellow kinsmen of mine. She spoke with all her grace and greeted the two newly introduced elves. I answered, "By the spirits your not. Ice, this is Stella, and elf from Rivendell." I watched as they introduced themselves.

In reaction to the elf's words, I smiled gratefully, thankful for the fact that the impending doom had seemed to pass. Quietly, I granted my forgiveness to the man, knowing that he was just working his duty.
"'Tis quite all right..."
After speaking as such, I turned to face the other lady elf, who I had just learned was named Ice. Slowly I moved forward, and extended my hand in greeting.
"Pleasant to meet you, Ice."

I smiled warmly at the other elf, shaking her hand in return.
"It is nice to meet you," I replied.

I smiled warmly, feeling much more at ease around these people. They were one of my kind, albeit they lived in a different Elven kingdom. Slowly, I dropped my hand, silent as I did so. I didn't feel there was much more to say at this point, at least from my mouth.

"Well Ice, now that we are both introduced to our new friend from Rivendell, let us continue with your stroll." Slowly, our threesome walked through the lovely woods of our home, Lothlorien. "So Stella, elf of Rivendell, what brings you to our fine home this evening?"

I, following both Ice and Eruonen, began to walk forwards. Eruonen had just asked me a question about why I had come to Lothlorien. After thinking for a moment, I answered as best that I could.
"I have been here a few other times over the years...but they were short visits. I had this somewhat internal want to come take an extended visit to this forest of beauty..."

I smiled at Stella's reply, glad that she liked the forests of my home.
"Yes, they are beautiful, aren't they? But Imladris is also a city of beauty."

"I agree with Ice. Your home is as beautiful as ours," was my only reply. Gradually we came upon a small stream that seemed as natural as could be. "I imagine you see much of this beauty in your own home as in ours?"

I nodded in a response to Eruonen's question. Rivendell was indefinitely a city of great beauty in itself, and I felt that whenever I walked through my home.
"Yes, I do believe that Rivendell is very beautiful, as is Lorien. However, I have lived in the city for many long years. I suppose that I felt that I needed a change of scenery for a spell."

I nodded, stopping as I looked off into the forest. Something strange touched the fringes of my mind. I frowned, then started walking away from the others, searching for that other presence.

"Good days Ice!" As did Ice walk deeper into the forest, so did I and Stella continue our strole minus one friend.
