My best friend is Korean and is now an exchange student in Oklahoma. He was down here with us last year but only for a year.

I was going to try to be one but at my school to be considered top 10% you have to attend our high school you junior and senior year. So that sunk that idea.

Yeah, I doubt I'll actually be one, but maybe host one. Though I might study abroad in college. They do have that program at like Bethel and such around here. Plus my school's trying to get their annual trip to Washington D. C. scheduled for the Inauguration next year, so i'd love to go to that. D. C. is so cool, but i went in 2000 before Sept. 11th and the election.

You can't really bring 820 kids to Washington DC. Even 100 would be hard. The 3 middle schools have like 300, 250, and 250 for most classes, or something close to that, so that wouldn't work. Only the Elementary schools, 7 of them with like 100-150 each, would be able to go at all, and then you're too young. So its an optional thing that only like 30 kids can go on.

Ashley's completely Korean. But anyhow.
I think it would be cool to go on the Close-Up trip to Washington, especially with the new WWII monument being opened up to the public and all. Security would still probably be one of the larger issues...that and lines.
