That stinks! 've never been to New York. But you cant go in the White House really anymore either I think, and I'm not sure if they let you go on Capital tours that are through your Congressmen (i went on a tour with Ramstad's interns...very cool, the capital). But it does stink.
And I might go next year. Em, maybe we can both go and drag some other people with us! Wouldn't that be fun to be stuck in DC for 5 days together! ;D Only downside is Junker goes with us. But ah well.
And I wasn't sure if Ash was pure Korean, cuz isn't her dad asian?

Ashley's adopted. But don't tell her that I told you, because she doesn't really want people to know...she doesn't think it's that big of a deal, and most of the time, I don't even think about her being adopted.
I've never been to NYC...my mom dislikes big cities. I think it would be cool to go on the close-up trip, though. Miss some school...but you'd learn, of course!

Hmm I wasn't sure. I thought maybe, since i know her mom isn't asian, but i wasn't positive. But I wont tell her. I dont think of Lil usually as adopted either, and why would it matter? I wouldn't treat Lil any different, nor Ash.
it would be cool. DC is an awesome city. I loved the capital tour, and I thought the Metro (their subway system, except its way safer than NYC supposedly) was so much fun. And Arlington National Cemetary was cool too. Saw Kennedy's grave, and got a tour of the house of Robert E. Lee. Theres just so much there you can't get to it all though. We didn't get to the Jefferson Memorial or the Supreme Court Building or anything.

Ya, exactly! It doesn't matter!
I know that DC is obviously much larger than Williamsburg, but taking a tour of the city sounds much the same. Even within a week's span of time, we weren't able to have the time to view much of the historic city. Obviously, DC is kind of the same...especially since the Close Up tour is three days long...I think.

Hey Brent! Let's take a tour of downtown Newton. That would take like what, 30 minutes. And that would be streching it.

Haha same with downtown Wayzata. Really all there is to see is the lake, and the old train station. Plymouth doesn't really have a downtown, since we're really spread out. ANd Minneapolis and St. Paul'd take a while.

Yeah. There are oddly like two downtown Plymouths, so to speak. Neither are really big, though. One is by the movie theater, and the other is over by New Hope sort of.
Wayzata's downtown is cool, despite being really small. It's too bad that 'ol JJ Hill decided to put the railroad right by the lake.

Yeah. And they celebrate him too, with J. J. Hill day. But its awesome how they always have the Homecoming Parade downtown Wayzata. Even though the high school is like 30 minutes away at least, since my house is in the middle, and it still takes me like 15-20 minutes to go to either.

Ya. Well, obviously, I'm closer to WHS than I am to Wayzata. It usually takes me 5 minutes to get to the high school. As long as the light on 55 cooperates.

Yeah, cuz you're over by Rainbow. I'm halfway between 55 and 6 on Vicksburg.

It's so funny how you city people are always like, "It's over by 5th and Manhatton" or something like that. Down here in Southeast Texas we're like, "It's over by Cash'N'Dash."

Haha. Well, if you refer to a random store, there could be multiple stores by the same name in the same city...so...yeah. But Ice did refer to "Rainbow" (Food store).

Well, if you specify what its by...like the movie theatre, or the lunds by the movie theatre, or something. Theres another rainbow in plymouth, just not by us. But if you said McDonalds, we'd all be like, which one? i swear, theres five billion around here. The main one though is near downtown wayzata.
